1. The Pump for my pool is not running:

Take time to check your breakers and switches. One of the most common reasons for pumps not
running is that they are tied to a timer system that is not scheduled to go on. Make sure that the timer
of your pump is correct and fully functioning.

2. My pump was running without water in it, is this going to be a problem?

Pumps running dry can cause all sorts of problems, the most common being overheating and burning
out the valves and seals. Always avoid your pool pump running empty.

3. Can I drain my pool and if so when should I do it?

Yes, not only can you drain your pool but it is recomended. As you know, your pool looses hundreds of
gallons of water each year due to evaporation. What you probably didn't know is that when water
evaporates it leaves behind a good deal of the chemical and minerals. This causes the chemical and
minerals to become more concentrated in your pool. After a time we recommend that you completely
drain your pool in order to get fresh water in it. This should typically be done every 2-4 years.

4. How do I drain my pool?

You can either rent the pump and hose at a store (about $50) or you can hire us to do it for you. Prices
vary depending on the size of the pool and the location of the drain in relation to your pool. Call us for
an estimate.

5. What is the best way to clean the white line off of my pool tile and waterfall?

This white line is calcium buildup. You can purchase chemical at pool stores that will claim to take is
off but we have yet to find one that does a good job. We recommend one of two options. The first is to
hire a professional pool tile cleaner. They will use a media blasting method called "bead blasting" to
blast off the buildup. The average cost for such a service is typically about $3.25-$4.00 per foot of tile.

The second method is to do it yourself with a pumice stone. Just be warned that this is extremely
physical work and will take, on average, about 5 hours for mild pool. You will have to purchase
multiple pumice stones and be willing to clean out the pool when you are done. You will also need to be
very careful that you do not scratch the tile as a pumice stone easily can cause damage
