I have a white line on my pool tile, can you help me with Pool Tile Cleaning? |
Calcium buildup on swimming pool tile is normal, especially in the western portion of the United States. Our water is naturally had, this means that it has a high degree of minerals in it which is a measurement of "parts per million" (PPM). You can try to remove the buildup using a pumice stone which you can purchase at any swimming pool supplies store but you will find the labor to be EXTREAMLY intensive. It will also leave a lot of pumice stone dust at the bottom of your pool, require the buying of numerous pumice stones (+10 or more sometimes) and commonly leave tile scratched and damaged. |
What we recommend is swimming pool tile cleaning using the "bead blasting" method. This is done by removing the white calcium buildup by using compressed air and a sandy type of "media". This media composed of glass beads about 1/10th the size of a grain of sand. The media is uniform in shape and size and through continual pummeling against the pool tile buildup can remove all of the white line. This process can be done in a pool with water or a pool without water, whichever you choose. If you have any other type of work that needs to be done in you pool we recommend that you allow us to drain the pool and perform all of the work at once. Sacramento Pool Tile Cleaning typically cost between $3.10/ft. to $4.25/ft., it all depends on the severity of the calcium deposits on the pool tile. Call us today for a free estimate. |
